Recipe: High Protein Dessert/Breakfast

I am more of a savoury person, but every now and then I want something sweet after dinner. Most things in the supermarket seem to be jam-packed with sugar, fat and calories. I wanted to find something that I could make at home which was tasty and satisfying, but also didn’t make me feel bad about eating it, so I basically made up this recipe which is for all my peanut butter lovers out there. You just have to ignore the fact that it looks like “baby food” (as my very ungrateful boyfriend said when I served it to him), and focus more on how tasty and healthy it is instead… It is also a good way to use up any bananas that have gone black and are on their way out. You can also make them in advance and keep them in the fridge. This could also go as a tasty and healthy breakfast which sets you up for the day ahead.

  • High protein yoghurt
  • Meridian crunchy peanut butter – I use this one because it has no palm oil in it and because it is more runny so spreads out better
  • Going off banana

  1. Break a banana in half and mash up in the bottom of your bowl with a fork or a potato masher if you are feeling fancy
  2. Spoon peanut butter on top of the banana to your preference – I normally take one tablespoon and spread it out
  3. Finish with plain high protein yoghurt
