Recipe: High Protein Dessert

I am more of a savoury person, but every now and then I want something sweet after dinner. Most things in the supermarket seem to be jam-packed with sugar, fat and calories. I wanted to find something that I could make at home which was tasty and satisfying, but also didn’t make me feel bad about eating it, so I basically made up this recipe. You just have to ignore the fact that it looks like “baby food” (as my very ungrateful boyfriend said when I served it to him), and focus more on how tasty and healthy it is instead… It is also a good way to use up any bananas that have gone black and are on their way out.

  • High protein yoghurt
  • Meridian crunchy peanut butter – I use this one because it has no palm oil in it and because it is more runny so spreads out better
  • Going off banana

  1. Break a banana in half and mash up in the bottom of your bowl with a fork or a potato masher if you are feeling fancy
  2. Spoon peanut butter on top of the banana to your preference – I normally take one tablespoon and spread it out
  3. Finish with plain high protein yoghurt
