I went and bought some oat milk for the first time today from Tesco, so I wanted to experiment with it in a smoothie. When I make a smoothie I always try and get something healthy in there in the way of spinach or carrots to try and up the nutrient content. So today I sneaked in a carrot from the big bag of wonky carrots that I bought into this vegan banana, carrot and cacao smoothie.

Cacao is also naturally high in fibre and protein and a natural source of iron, magnesium and potassium. So this, combined with the fact that carrots make you see in the dark, make this a pretty kick ass smoothie which isn’t too sweet!
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 ripe or over-ripe bananas
- 1 massive carrot or 2 small carrots
- 1 teaspoon cacao poweder
- 1 mug oat milk
