This morning Elanor and I were feeling better, so we went for brunch at this place called Cafe Bali. I had poached eggs on toast with pesto, and a watermelon, pineapple and mint juice and Elanor had Mie Goreng and a juice. I think it cost us £6 each or something like that. The interior was really cool as well with chandeliers and cool table cloths.
After that we strolled to the beach and found the beach club Ku De Ta. So we decided to sit at their restaurant overlooking the ocean and have a drink there too. I had a matcha latte which was so much better than the last one I had at Starbucks in Versailles, which tasted of fish. It was so nice to sit there and chill in the shade with a drink and watch the waves, and they played really good music there.
After drinks there, we walked down to the beach and started walking towards Kuta. The Ku De Ta beach is very quiet but as you walk towards Kuta it gets more and more crowded with sunbeds and beach bars. We walked for about 30 minutes in one direction so we were in Kuta, before turning around and walking back.
We stopped at a beach bar with lovely vibrant parasols and bean bags called La Plancha and had a drink whilst watching the sunset. It was a bit expensive there but it was definitely the prime location as it was hard to get a space there as it was so popular.
On the walk home we stopped for dinner at this restaurant called Bo & Bun. I had the Sate Ayam, which is grilled chicken skewers with homemade peanut sauce, sweet soy, shallots, steamed rice and pickled carrot. Elanor had Thai Green Curry. We were so hungry that we ate so quickly, but every time we eat our stomachs cramp up and we feel weird.
Nobody at the hostel was going out tonight so we called it a night after a few drinks at the bar.
